Giants Vows To Keep The Winning Momentum (Liga Super 2021)

After grabbing the first three points in the inaugural Super League 2021 home match, Selangor FC will visit the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium to meet Terengganu FC (TFC) tonight at 9pm.

During the last encounter, the Red Giants secured a painful 3-3 draw with the Turtle after conceding a last minute penalty against the home side. The three goals were scored by Khyril Muhymeen, Ifedayo Olusegun and Brendan Gan respectively in the CIMB Super League last season.

Last weekend’s victory will definitely raise the spirits of Selangor FC to continue momentum and provide excellent results for tonight’s match.

According to Selangor FC Head Coach, Karsten Neitzel, TFC is a good team and has some excellent players but the Red Giants players are at their best level of motivation to get a positive result at Stadium Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin.

"TFC is a team that plays with a lot of exchanging short passes to create goal opportunities and they also have very good and technical players like Makan Konate and former Selangor player, Faiz Nasir. I like their style of play. In short, TFC has a collection of interesting players,” Karsten shared his views on the TFC.

"Selangor FC players have undergone a rehab session first after last Saturday's match, for me this is a very important process for a short preparation for the next action against TFC. They have also undergone individual and tactical video sessions for this Tuesday's match," he explained.

"I and the coaches have seen the players in every training session, before, during and after the match against Sri Pahang FC last week. I am sure they have a high level of motivation in the team and themselves to get the next 3 points," Karsten added.

As for the player’s availability, some Selangor FC players are still plagued with injury and cannot be listed for this game such as Nik Sharif Haseefy (ankle injury), K. Sarkunan (knee spasm), Brendan Gan (ankle injury), and R. Dinesh (left hamstring) who suffered an injury during the last match against Sri Pahang FC.

The Red Giants sit at the top of the table after recording a convincing 3-1 against Sri Pahang FC last week, while Terengganu FC is at the 3rd place, with same points. The match is also scheduled to be live on TV1 RTM Sports.
Let’s do this, Red Giants.

Demi kebanggaan!
